Context
After completing my Master of Interaction Design, I’ve decided to start a hands-on project to continue developing my practical knowledge whilst I’m finding work.
Whilst at university, I had the opportunity to collaborate with other students on design projects each semester, providing me with a broad but solid foundation across user research, design, prototyping, user-testing, and web/mobile development.
This project will provide the opportunity to go deeper — practising specific areas of the design process which I didn’t have the chance to fully explore while studying.
Goal & Scope
While I hope that by the end of my project I would like to have designed, developed and shipped a full product, my primary concern is self-development and learning.
For this project, I wish to focus on the production side of design:
Practising sketching, wireframing and UI design.
Gaining familiarity and proficiency with UI tools
Practising my coding skills by developing & deploying code
Taking on full accountability and responsibility for outcomes
Outcome
This is an active work-in-progress.

The Project
Plan
With my goal of learning and practising the production side of mobile/web development, my process will emphasize these activities over research, discovery and testing.
This is only an early roadmap and will be updated as the project progresses.
